Amy Loden, MD, FACP
Dr. Amy Loden is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is an expert in adult medicine and applies evidence based science in the diagnosis, treatment and care of adults. She graduated with honors from both Missouri State University and the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She completed her internship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She earned her MBA from Washington University in Saint Louis after moving back to Missouri to be closer to her family in 2013.
As an internist she is well equipped to manage complex illness and address poorly defined and challenging puzzles. She specializes in optimizing wellness and preventing disease. She is especially interested in preventing cardiovascular disease and is well known in the medical community for her passion to identify women with pregnancies affected by diabetes, high blood pressure or preeclampsia, as these all predict future cardiovascular disease. Additionally, she partners with adults of all ages to improve their health and not maintain the status quo.
Dr. Loden is a strong advocate for lifestyle medicine and restoring health. She works with her patients to prevent and reverse chronic diseases instead of maintaining a lifetime of medication and restriction. She is a certified health coach, earning her credential from the National Society of Health Coaches, the first evidence-based coaching program in the country. Patients frequently comment on her calm, caring and empathetic bedside manner that enables them to be comfortable, to feel heard, and to know they are an active and valued participant in their own health story.
